EVENT INFO:

This hands-on workshop teaches adults how to identify when an infant or child needs CPR, how to perform CPR and how to relieve foreign body airway obstruction (choking). This course is ideal for expectant and new parents, grandparents, and caregivers. Joyce also likes to add on how to use an AED.

​All participants will have ample opportunity to practice their skills on a mannequin and will leave with an American Heart Association workbook for future reference.

​Taught by Joyce Havinga-Droop, certified Birth Doula and American Heart Association CPR Instructor.

FACILITATOR INFO:

Joyce is a Certified Holistic Doula, certified birth doula (DONA) and home birth assistant. She’s also a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association, a Spinning Babies® Provisional Parent Educator. She speaks English, Dutch, French and German and facilitates a Positive Birth Movement meet up in her home in Larchmont, Westchester NY.

Joyce is passionate about teaching families what they need to know to keep everybody safe.
